The Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) Awards are given each year to honour the outstanding achievements of our members and related professionals in town planning. Through the delivery of Awards, we wish to raise public awareness of good planning principles and practice, and to encourage pursuit of excellence amongst planners in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and neighbouring areas.
Young Planners Awards (YPA) are introduced to reward active participation and contribution of our young planners to the planning profession in particular and community affairs in general, as well as to promote and foster professionalism, dedication and enthusiasm amongst themselves.
HKIP is now inviting entries for HKIP Awards and YPA 2025/26. Similar to the practice last year, prior registration is required before submission of entries. The deadlines for registration and submission are 13 February 2026 (Friday) 5:00 p.m. and 17 April 2026 (Friday) 5:00 p.m. Respectively.
A non-refundable administrative fee will be charged for all Awards entries at the registration stage, except for the entries from teams comprising solely student members of HKIP and the YPA entries. All administrative fees collected, after deducting the administrative cost, will contribute to the cash prize for YPA awardee(s). Details of the submission requirements are set out in the Awards pamphlet.
