10 HKIUD council and committee members visited URA on 3 September 2025, and were well received by Managing Director Ar Donald Choi and his team. URA presented to us the urban design and public engagement approaches adopted in the latest URA projects in order to improve the quality of the built environment in the congested urban area of HK.

HKIUD and URA also exchanged views on future collaboration, effective public consultation and the need for good urban design guidelines for HK.

Donald encouraged HKIUD members to participate in URA’s upcoming consultancy, as HKIUD is one of the recognized professional qualifications under the consultancies.
